A Health Alert Message for Lancaster ISD Students and Parents

The “flu” virus is most common during the fall and winter months. Influenza activity often begins to increase in October and November.

Most of the time flu activity peaks between December and March and can last as late as May.Therefore in an effort to keep all our students safe and healthy, please be vigilant and monitor your student for flu-like symptoms.

Just as President Barack Obama leaves the Oval Office on January 20, 2017, about 400 male students of the Lancaster Independent School District in grades third through fifth will convene for the third annual My Brother’s Keeper male mentorship summit.

Lancaster ISD is Currently Accepting Applications for the West Main Fine Arts Academy

In the fall of 2017, Lancaster ISD will open its Fine Arts Academy at West Main Elementary. This academy will offer learning around the following disciplines, music, visual arts, drama, dance and piano. Currently applications are being accepted for students in the second to fourth grades that will be attending West Main Elementary during the 2017-18 school year. There are limited spaces available so please complete the application online today.

Lancaster Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Program - January 14

Come, Watch, Celebrate and Participate! The Lancaster MLK Foundation will mark the life and service of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a parade and program on January 14 at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at the Lancaster Elsie Robertson STEM Middle School located at 822 Pleasant Run Road. The parade will travel East on Pleasant Run Rd for one mile. Then, move north onto Dallas Avenue and proceed into the Lancaster High School parking lot. Immediately following the parade, there will be a short program in the Lancaster High School Auditorium.
