A HEALTH SERVICES MESSAGE FOR LANCASTER ISD PARENTS:
The United States epidemics of seasonal flu each year and this time of year is called "flu season."
The “flu” virus is most common during the fall and winter months. Influenza activity often begins to increase in October and November.

Therefore in an effort to keep all our students safe and healthy, please be vigilant and monitor your student for flu-like symptoms such as:
• Fever or feeling feverish/chills
• Sore throat
• Runny or stuffy nose
• Muscle or body aches
• Fatigue (tiredness)
Please note that some people, especially children experience vomiting and even diarrhea.
Parents, be aware that the "Flu" is a CONTAGIOUS virus and can easily spread in a communal setting.
